The Plumber Pricing Kit

Your flat-rate price book, built from your costs, in files you own. No subscription, no per-tech fee, no $299 onboarding.

What's in it

1. Price book builder (.xlsx — Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets)

A Settings tab for your wage, burden, overhead, billable hours, margin, markup and trip fee. A Jobs tab with 37 residential jobs pre-loaded with planning hours and material costs, customer-supplied and you-supplied where it matters, every cell editable, add as many jobs as you do. A Price Book tab that turns them into your flat rates and flags any job that lands under the 2026 market band.

2. Job quote tab and job log

Pick jobs, set quantities, add permit and trip fee, read the ticket. The log records what you quoted, whether you won it, and the actual hours — so after ten jobs your hours are yours, not ours.

3. 2026 rate card (PDF, one page)

Market bands for all 37 jobs, hourly and trip-fee ranges by region, markup norms, each with source and date.

4. Printable price list (PDF)

Your flat rates laid out as a customer-facing menu, generated from the builder. Keep one in the van.

5. Quote template (.xlsx + PDF)

One page: scope, what's excluded, permit handling, payment terms, signature line.

6. Price-objection scripts (PDF)

Eight things homeowners say — “the other guy said $150”, “that's a lot for an hour”, “can you just do it T&M”, “I bought the heater at the big-box store”, “can you skip the permit”, “my brother-in-law is a plumber”, “do I really need the expansion tank”, “let me think about it” — and what to say back.

$49, one-time. Instant download after checkout on Etsy (our shop is TradePricingKits. Card, PayPal and Apple Pay). Rate card updates for 12 months to the email you buy with. 30-day refund if it doesn't help you price your next job — email hello@plumbpricing.com.

Who it's for

Licensed solo and small residential plumbing contractors: one truck, maybe a helper, pricing from a spreadsheet or from memory. If you run a fleet with ServiceTitan and a price book team, you don't need this. If your pricing method is “about double the shop wage”, you do.

What it is not

It is not a list of what to charge. Every price comes from the numbers you enter; the market bands are third-party, dated figures shown for comparison. It is not legal or tax advice, and it doesn't replace your state's contract rules.

Who made it

plumbpricing.com is a small independent site, a sibling of washpricing.com and electricpricing.com. No software company is behind it and nothing here funnels you into a subscription.
